WELCOME TO QUILTING ARTS HOME PAGE
My story is fairly traditional, in that I grew up surrounded by women who created wonderful "things" from textiles as well as every other material available. They reduced, renewed, reused before it was fashionable; they lived in a frugal era.
My love affair began and ended with textiles. I sewed with, created with, and day dreamed about any and all textiles from a very early age. Shortly after I finished my degree in English Literature, I had the opportunity to purchase a Millennium long arm machine from a local gal who needed to sell due to poor health. My life took a huge turn, and very soon I was immersed in threads and classes, joining guilds and associations, discovering wholesale web sites, purchasing pantographs batting and backing while making business decisions and experiencing classes. It has been a happy journey (not without some tense moments) and I feel very fortunate and blessed to be able to do long arm quilting for others.
My studio is on our property above our four car garage. I have my Millie up there as well as a cutting table, iron, large work tables and lots of light and sunshine! Be sure to check out my studio pictures!!
I have posted some pictures of customer quilts, although not all have made it to the publishing stage, as I have managed to loose 261 pictures of quilts in cyber space. Yes indeed, 261 pictures! ouch.!
Please browse through the pictures of quilts, and pictures of my quilting studio. I would be happy to discuss any quilting questions that you have. And, I will care for your quilt as though it is my own.
Excellent workmanship and fast turnaround!!
